storm watching

Eva sat outside to watch the thunderstorm moving in last night. She loves the rain and loves the thunder until it reaches a certain point....
Last night she came running in after a really loud crack of thunder, so I sat outside with her while we watched the rest of the storm together.

This morning I tried to take a few pictures of the kids outside...


Holding Elijah wasn't working so well, so we opted for different chairs... which didn't work so well either!!
Eva really loves Elijah and has just started interacting with him more. She is also starting to look out for him and be a little protective when our Lao friends pick him up. Elijah loves her back and will often stop crying when Eva comes over to talk to him!

making muffins

Eva and I were making muffins with some neighbor girls this morning. When I left the kitchen, Eva must have found the hot pads because she was ready and waiting when I came back!

We just spent the whole day driving into and through very rural Laos with a bunch of our employees and passed these guys swimming just on the side of the road.
