Elijah gets baptized!
A couple of weeks ago, Elijah said "Dad, I do want to follow Jesus!" He had said similar things about trusting in Jesus before, but this time it was emphatic and firm. "Dad, I want to get baptized!" So that's what we did. These are the pictures from the event.

Happy Father's Day, Nathan!
Three words come to mind right off when I think of you- faithful, trustworthy, devoted.
Few have the privilege of seeing your life as the kids and I do- we know a father who will never start a day without time first spent with the Lord, who puts that time in while most of the world is still sleeping in order to be taking care of his family as they wake up. We know a father who shows his wife the greatest honor and value and teaches his kids the same. We know a father who fills his children's hearts with joy and laughter. We know a father whose home is filled with peace, whose heart is full of joy, whose eyes are on the Lord. Eva, Elijah, Zach, and I are so blessed.
Proverbs 20:7 "The righteous who walks in his integrity-blessed are his children after him!"

In the top ten
We had to be gone for 10 days recently. Our trip home started the night before we left.
Tuesday evening 11pm: Zach vomits all over guesthouse bed.
Wednesday morning at 4:20 we depart on cross country trip across thailand back to our home in Laos.
4:45 am More puking ensues. Zach and Eva have raging fevers.
The Cole car is a rolling stinking puking pooping party.
Everyone is affected. Jan is conked out and sleeps half the day.
Nathan should have purchased toothpicks to prop his eyelids open.
3pm arrive in udon at international hospital. Nate and Jan get a general physical.
Hospital goes better than expected. So off to Makro to buy some basic foodstuffs.
9pm arrive back in Laos.
Our pump is still broken so we go out to the pump about 10pm to prime it. There we notice that someone has degrassed our backyard. The lawn has been scraped up leaving bare earth over 60% of the yard.
I ask the guard not to do this any more. He says ok. Jan and I go between laughter and frustration over the situation. Who would have thought that house sitting instructions should include not tearing up the lawn!
11:30ish in bed ...up multiple times for more kids problems.

Eva Gets Baptized
Eva told us last Friday that a few days prior she had asked Jesus to forgive her sins and decided to follow Jesus! Big news. She said she wanted to be baptized too. When we woke up Saturday morning, she was all ready to go complete with backpack and swimsuit. She even had her brothers ready for a morning at the river!
The last time we'd been to this river it was barely a trickle, but the rains have been pouring down for weeks now and while it isn't a raging torrent, it flows pretty swiftly.
