Always make more
What happens when a small cake is divided into 12 equal pieces? Disappointment is what happens. A few of these kids saw me baking a cake through the kitchen window, but when I added pink frosting and colorful sprinkles, the word must have spread. By the time the cake was done, the group had grown, and the little cake was divided. We'll have to try this again next time with a much bigger pan.

Breakfast
When the kids and I woke up this morning, we decided to kick start the day with the breakfast of champions- cranberry scones! And we decided to picnic our breakfast in the mountains.
We stopped at the shop down the street for some boxes of cold milk, and then all four of us climbed on the motorbike and headed for our favorite place by the mountains.
And while the kids lounged and ate and watched the creatures in the rice fields, I read to them from the book we're currently reading together.
What would a trip with mom be without having to jump off the bike?
This stretch of road is the road we call home... literally just outside our gate. Home Sweet Home.
